weather. Locks should be routinely checked to ensure that screws are

AUS-SECURE or hardware stores. Liquid or aerosol lubricants such as

WD40 or CRC can cause corrosion and damage the locking mechanism

ALARM SYSTEMS

regular maintenance, as it is mostly self-checking. We would suggest,

SURFACE insect spray. This will eliminate most false alarms and save

on costly service calls.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF EXTERIOR POWDER COATED SURFACES.

The regular care and maintenance of your purchase is important to ensure that your investment remains in pristine condition for many years to come.

It is therefore essential that your product is maintained on a regular basis depending on its proximity to coastal areas and extreme climatic conditions such as

atmospheric pollutants, dust and dirt which are deposited on them over time. This can give a reddish tea-stain appearance (airborne impurities) or “fluffy” white

marks (salt build up)

To keep the finish looking like new, remove loose deposits with a wet sponge (avoid scratching the surface by dry dusting), use a mild, non-alkaline based

detergent and warm water applied with a soft bristled brush, followed by a thorough rinsing with fresh, clean water. A quick wipe over to dry with a chamois

cloth afterwards will finish the job and prevent water marks from forming. Under no circumstances should you use scourer pads, abrasive based cleaners or

cleaners that are highly caustic, as these can cause irreparable damage to the finish. Please refer to below chart for cleaning intervals.

Coastal Distance Cleaning Interval
Within 500m1 to 2 weeks
Within 500m to 1km2 to 3 weeks
Within 1km to 10km2 to 3 months
More than 10km3 to 6 months

WARNING: In some cases, thinning various types of strong solvents recommended for cleaning for up mastics/sealants are harmful to the extended life of the

powder coated surface. These solvents should not be used for cleaning purposes and will render the warranty voids if used. If paint splashes or sealants/mastics

need to be removed, then the following solvents can be used safely; Methylated Spirits, Turpentine, White Spirits, Ethyl Alcohol or Isopropanol.

POWDER COATED PRODUCTS MUST NOT BE INSTALLED ON MASONRY OR BRICKWORK PRIOR TO THE BRICKWORK BEING ACID WASHED AND CLEANED.
